Gintautas is a practicing Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist based in Vilnius, Lithuania. He earned his medical degree and a qualification as a medical doctor from the Lithuanian University of Health. Subsequently, he specialized in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Vilnius University. In addition to his clinical qualifications, Gintautas furthered his expertise in psychotherapy through postgraduate studies in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and has been actively practicing Schema Therapy since 2019. He currently works as a child and adolescent psychiatrist at the University Eating Disorders Centre in Vilnius and has a private practice as a psychotherapist.
As part of his commitment to continuous professional development, Gintautas has participated as both a lecturer and participant in numerous conferences, workshops, and training programs in his field.
Gintautas’ practice extends beyond individual treatment. Through community projects he is deeply committed to working with the families of patients, offering lectures and guidance to family members of those suffering from eating disorders. This crucial work helps families better understand how to support their loved ones through the challenges of eating disorders.
In addition to his clinical and academic pursuits, Gintautas has been actively involved in community projects, creating educational materials about eating disorders accessible to the public. He also holds a teaching position at Vilnius University, further demonstrating his commitment to advancing education and knowledge in his field.
